CO-OP Student of the Month of May 2019
I am a fourth year mechanical engineering student who has currently completed three of four work terms. My first placement was at HTS Engineering, where I had the chance to be introduced to and learn all about the HVAC industry. I worked with engineering drawings and advanced software to select proper equipment for new building developments. My second placement was at the National Research Council, where I had the chance to do testing on rail cars, such as impact, squeeze and vibration tests. Ohh… and I got to ride around on trains!! My third work term was with Natural Resources Canada, where I created a chamber to test HVAC equipment. My last work term will be with Natural Resources Canada’s mining group. In the future, I would like to maybe work in the mining or automotive industry.
